Abstract

A system ( ) receives a transmitted optical signal and generates an orthogonal despreading code that is different than the code used to spread the transmitted signal. The system ( ) then despreads the received signal using the despreading code. By using a code to despread the received signal that is different than the code used to spread the signal, the overall interference in the system can be reduced and even eliminated.
