Abstract

A liquid crystal display element. The liquid crystal display includes a first substrate a second substrate paired with the first substrate a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and a switching electrode comprising a first comb-shaped electrode and a second comb-shaped electrode Preferably, a first domain and a second domain which are preferably symmetrically polarized about a center line X between opposing electrodes, are formed between a tooth - of the first comb-shaped electrode and a tooth - of the second comb-shaped electrode constituting the opposing electrodes of the switching electrode.
