Abstract
A muffler including a long outlet pipe having an exhaust gas inlet pipe portion , a return pipe portion , an exhaust gas outlet pipe portion , and two turnaround pipes for connecting the three pipe portions together in series. These pipe portions are arranged in parallel with one another along a longitudinal direction of a shell , and in such a manner that longitudinal axes L, L, L of the pipe portions are positioned at respective vertices of a triangle.
