Abstract

The target peak current value, where a current value is reduced in conformity to a drop in the voltage of a battery is stored in target peak current storage unit . ON-signals are sent from current control circuit to power transistor in response to the injection command pulse coming from engine controller so that current is applied to coil . Then, the current flowing to coil is detected by the current detecting resistor . Comparator compares this detected current and the target peak current value read from the target peak current storage unit conforming to the voltage of battery . If agreement is found between these two values, OFF-signals are sent to power transistor from current control circuit in response to the switching command coming from comparator . Then, On/Off signals to effect holding of the coil are sent from current control circuit to power transistor . The linearity of the injection volume despite changes in battery voltage can be maintained.
