Abstract
An optical component has a plurality of optical fibers comprising a first clad a core formed around the first clad and a second clad formed around the core arrayed regularly so that the fiber axes may be parallel to each other, having an incident plane cut obliquely to the fiber axis and an exit plane cut vertically to the fiber axis. The section of the first clad is nearly circular, and the section (outer circumference) of the core is a nearly regular hexagon with crushed corners.
