Abstract
The invention relates to an actuator comprising a motor ( ) by which the shafts ( ) of the actuator are driven. At least one magnet ( is arranged in conjunction with the shaft ( ). The actuator further comprises at least one Hall sensor ( ), which generates pulses as the magnet ( ) on the shaft ( ) passes the Hall sensor ( ) as the shaft ( ) rotates. The pulses are used to define the position of the actuator in the linear direction.
