Abstract
The object of the present invention is to provide an electrical connector which makes it possible for the contacts to electrically contact each other with a high contact pressure even when the contacts are made smaller and shorter. Contacts and which electrically contact each other are respectively secured in housings of a plug connector and a cap connector with the contacts being positioned in two rows in each connector. When the plug connector and cap connector are connected, first and second spring members and of the contacts are clamped between wall surfaces and of the housing and the contact sections of the contacts so that the contacts and are springably pressed strongly against each other.
