The invention concerns improved sugar-free food products, their production and use, in particular, coated food products, their production and use. The products are characterized by their content in enriched mixtures of 1-O-&agr;-D-glucopyranosyl-D-mannitol (1,1-GPM) and 6-O-&agr;-D-glucopyranosyl-D-sorbitol (1,6-GPS).
