Abstract

The invention relates to compositions comprising a peroxyacid bleach precursor, a peroxide source, at least about 15% by weight of a carbonate source, which may comprise the hydrogen peroxide source or part thereof, and at least about 7% by weight of an organic carboxylic acid whereby a 1% solution of the composition in demineralised water provides a pH from 8.8 to 9.9. The compositions are useful to provide sanitization of fabrics, in particular to reduce the activity of certain bacteria groups.
