Abstract
The invention relates to the use of 2-oxopyrroles of general formula (I) and their agriculturally usable salts as crop protection agents and to novel 2-oxopyrroles of formula (I). The substituents have the following meanings: R represents aryl or heteroaryl and these radicals may carry one to five groups independently of each other or alternatively, the aryl or heteroaryl radical forms a bicyclical system with a fused-on phenyl ring, a fused-on C -C carbocyclic compound or a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic compound and R represents C -C -alkyl or aryl or heteroaryl, COOR or CONR R , R and R representing, independently of each other, hydrogen, C -C -alkyl, C -C -alkenyl, C -C -cycloalkyl or C -C -alkyl-aryl which can optionally be partially or fully halogenated or can carry one to three substituents chosen from the following: C -C -alkoxy, C -C -halogenalkoxy, C -C -alkylthio, C -C -cycloalkyl, C -C -cycloalkenyl.
