Abstract

Novel methods are provided for the manufacture of Sn(Sn ) DTPA. The method allows the use of DTPA, a toxic chelating agent, in an approximately 1:1 ratio to Sn(Sn ) via either aqueous conditions, or using various organic solvents, such as methylene chloride. A pharmaceutical composition manufactured by the novel method is also provided, as well as methods for treatment of bone tumors and pain associated with bone cancer using the pharmaceutical composition of the invention.
