Abstract
The invention relates to a method for screening of neuroactive drugs using the fruit fly , which comprises the steps of, generating a double mutant line of K channel genes in ; culturing the Sh eag mutant flies on Dorsophila medium under standard conditions; and anesthetizing flies with diethyl ether and observing the time taken by flies to recover from anesthesia.
