Abstract
A wheel drive preferably used in a low-platform bus for driving the wheels is driven by a drive motor ( ) eccentrically arranged relative to the wheel axle ( ) and a gearwheel ( ). The driven gearwheel ( ) of a reduction gear ( ) is in intermeshing connection with two additional gearwheels ( ) and one outer central wheel ( ) in a manner such that the drive torque is distributed onto the gearwheels ( ) and the outer central wheel ( ) and the driven gearwheel ( ) can be floatingly supported so that a uniform load distribution results.
