A switch pod assembly ( ) includes a hub portion ( ) fixedly connected to a steering column ( ) adjacent a steering wheel ( ). First and second arms ( ) extend radially from opposite sides of an outer surface ( ) of the hub portion ( ). First and second switch pod modules ( ) extend transversely from second ends ( ) of the first and second arms ( ), respectively. Each switch pod module ( ) has a curved outer surface ( ) that has a radius generally concentric with and smaller than a radius of the steering wheel ( ). The outer surfaces ( ) are positioned proximate the steering wheel ( ). The first and second switch pod modules ( ) support a plurality of switches ( ), including actuators ( ) positioned along the curved outer surfaces ( ) of the first and second switch pod modules.
