Abstract

In a method for producing an electrical connection between a flexible printed-circuit board ( ) and a metallic mating contact member ( ), an illumination opening ( ) is formed in a first insulating layer ( ) and a connecting opening ( ) is formed in a second insulating layer ( ). A section ( ) of the metallic mating contact member ( ) is brought into bearing contact with a conductor track ( ) through the connecting opening ( ). Welding/soldering of the conductor track ( ) to the connecting section ( ) is brought about by radiant heating by means of laser light ( ) directed through the illumination opening ( ).
