Abstract
A shielding terminal ( ) is accommodated in a cavity ( ) of a housing ( ) in a connector ( ) and is doubly locked by a lock ( ) of the housing ( ) and by a ground terminal ( ). A recess ( D) is formed in a shielding shell ( ) of the shielding terminal ( ) during the formation of a locking claw ( B) for locking a dielectric element. The recess ( D) is narrower than the lock ( ). Hence, the lock ( ) neither enters nor gets caught by the recess ( D) during insertion of the shielding terminal ( ) into the cavity ( ). Therefore, an insertion resistance of the shielding terminal ( ) can be reduced.
