Abstract

The invention relates to a built-in safety device comprising a housing ( ) and a rotor ( ) mounted therein. Tumblers ( ) are mounted in the housing ( ) and in the rotor ( ). The maximal length (A) of the built-in safety device ( ) is approximately 40 mm, and the effective part ( ) of the key ( ) is essentially as long as the rotor ( ). In addition, the rotor ( ) is constructed as one piece and can be operated from both sides thereof. The inventive built in safety device can be installed in a mortise lock more easily than a cross-key bit safety device and permits the production of a locking system.
