Abstract
A rechargeable battery is integrated with a battery protection circuit that protects the rechargeable battery from overcharging, overdischarging, and so forth. A circuit board ( ) on which are formed a battery protection circuit, a positive input and output terminal ( ), and a temperature detection terminal ( ) is disposed on a rechargeable battery ( ) via a spacer ( ), and the positive and negative electrodes of the rechargeable battery ( ) are connected to the circuit board ( ). This assembly is enveloped by a cover cap ( ) and a cover plate ( ), such that the positive input and output terminal ( ) and the temperature detection terminal ( ) are exposed to the outside through openings provided in the cover plate ( ), and one end of the cover cap ( ) in the same plane as these is used for connection as a negative input and output terminal ( ).
