Abstract
An automated teller machine ( ) or a home banking system ( ) is operated to provide, during the delays associated with authorizing and acting upon a user instruction, a sales presentation related to a financial product. The type of presentation is selected by matching a profile of the user, obtained from a central information store ( ), with profiles of target customers for a number of financial products.
