Abstract
A female connector ( ) with a shielding plate ( ) has contact elements ( ) on printed circuit boards ( ) arranged in rows and columns in a housing ( ) comprising two modules ( ) stacked in a column direction. The second surface of the PCB has a conducting ground plane connected to a pattern of ground tracks on the other surface, while the PCBs of one module are connected through an intermediate insulating section ( ). The rows of contact elements receive the male contact elements when the male connector is inserted into the receiving space of the female connector.
