Abstract

A coupling element for optical coupling of at least one optoelectronic transducer to at least one optical wave guide, with a coupling element having an image plate with a large number of small-diameter optical wave guides. Accordingly, the image plate is connected to a guide element ( ) for coupling the at least one optical wave guide. This allows an optical coupling in a simple and effective manner between at least one optoelectronic transducer and at least one optical wave guide, in which case a mount, which may be of any desired form, can be used for mounting and making electrical contact with the optoelectronic transducer.
