Abstract
A flake ice machine and a method for the monitoring of a flake ice machine are disclosed. On opening the water inlet valve a clock is started and, after a certain filling time, the water inlet valve is closed, even if a sensor ( ) in the evaporator trough ( ) has not detected reaching the maximum fill level.
