Abstract

An improved agricultural belting ( ) formed of multiple fabric by layers ( or ), interposing rubber layers ( ) and rubber cover layers ( ). The fabric plies are a woven of warp yarns ( ) extending in the longitudinal direction of the belt ( ) and fill yarns ( ) extending in the transverse direction of the belt ( ). To optimize the transverse stiffness of the belting and other properties of the belt, any of the fabric plies ( , or ) are formed with selective replacement of the multifilament fill yarns ( ) with monofilament cords ( ).
