Abstract

The present invention is a reactive adsorption process for separating NO (NO and NO /N O ) from N O in a mixture. The process comprises (A) selectively converting NO to NO /N O in a mixture with an oxidant and (B) selectively adsorbing NO /N O from the mixture by an adsorbent and © recovering a stream of N O having a substantially reduced NO concentration. The adsorbed NO can be recovered from the adsorbent by elevated temperature, reduced pressure, inert gas purge, water wash or any combination thereof.
