Abstract
A heat-resistant and wear-resistant insertion element or segment of a segmented dip tube suitable for use in a refractory-lined cyclone of a cement clinker production line. The insertion element, is capable of being fabricated and installed with a length greater than 120 cm, and is distinguished by a long service life. The insertion element may be a composite structure made of a metallic carcass or sheet ( ) and a metallic mesh with webs ( ) forming lattice-shaped openings which are filled with a heat-resistant ceramic composition ( ).
