Abstract

In a safety razor blade unit a skin engaging member has a surface for contacting the skin during shaving defined by spaced hollow projections ( ) which extend upwardly from a base ( ) and are open at their upper ends. The projections are made of a resiliently flexible material and are preferably arranged in rows along the base. The projections are preferably tubular but can taper in either direction, internally and/or externally.
