Abstract
A stereophonic sound image enhancement apparatus comprises a first filter for changing a phase of a left channel input signal in response to a frequency of the left channel input signal; a second filter for changing a phase of a right channel input signal in response to a frequency of the right channel input signal; a first calculating means for calculating a difference between the left channel input signal and the phase-changed signal derived from the second filter to thereby output the difference signal as a left channel output signal; and a second calculating means for calculating a difference between the right channel input signal and the phase-changed signal derived from the first filter to thereby output.the difference signal as a right channel output signal.
