Abstract
A method for manufacturing an electron source comprised of a substrate and a plurality of electron-emitting devices arrayed upon the substrate. Each electron-emitting device includes an electroconductive film disposed over the substrate, and is manufactured according to a method comprising the steps of (a) applying a solution containing a metal compound to the substrate, and (b) applying another solution selected from the group consisting of (i) a solution containing at least one component effective to decompose the metal compound and (ii) a solution containing a resin.
