Abstract

A moisture reduction assembly for use in a vehicle headlamp which operatively reduces and/or substantially eliminates moisture within the headlamp . The moisture reduction assembly includes a selectively energizable bulb and a bulb shield . The bulb shield , in one non-limiting embodiment, receives and/or is lined with a heat activated catalyst which is heated by the selectively energizable bulb and which, when heated, chemically converts the contained moisture to at least one non-condensing gas. The catalyst may also be selectively applied to the bulb . In another non-limiting embodiment, a desiccant member is disposed within and/or upon the bulb or disposed within the bulb shield
