Abstract
An iridium-containing nickel-base superalloy which has an orderly arrayed allow structure to be strengthened by precipitation and contains iridium dissolved in the &ggr; and &ggr;′ phases to be strengthened by solid solution, thus being improved in high-temperature strength and resistance to high-temperature corrosion. The superalloy can be prepared by adding iridium to a general nickel-base superalloy
