Abstract
A conveyor comprises a plurality of carriages , each including a deck having a friction surface for a primary drive, which is formed on or near one side of the deck , and is parallel to the direction in which the carriages travel. Each carriage also includes a bar fitted on the underside of the deck and extending on the centerline of the deck. The bar has a friction surface for a secondary drive. The travel path includes a linear primary travel line and a secondary travel line for carriage return. A primary drive , is arranged for contact with the friction surfaces . The secondary travel line is fitted with a plurality of drives A and B at intervals, for secondary propulsion in the return direction.
