Abstract

A copper-boron double oxide of the formula: Cu M B O in which M is a metal atom, and j, k, m and n are each a positive integer, a copper-molybdenum double oxide of the formula: Cu Mo O in which x, y and z are each a positive integer, or a copper double oxide of the formula: CuM′ O in which M′ is at least one element selected from the group consisting of B, Al, Ga, Mn, Co, Ni and a rare earth element is useful as a positive electrode-active material of a lithium secondary cell.
