Abstract

A conveyor is provided with a casing ( ), an endless conveyor belt ( ) located in the casing ( ) to circulate. The conveyor belt ( ) has a pair of roller chains ( ) attached to the peripheral edges on each side of the belt. Each roller chain ( ) has a plurality of rollers ( ). The casing ( ) is provided with a lower split body ( ) and an upper split body ( ) fixed on the lower split body ( ). The lower split body ( ) has a pair of side frame members ( and ) formed by press molding. The side frames ( and ) each have a lower supporting portion ( ) and an upper supporting portion ( ), for supporting the rollers ( ). That is, some portions of the casing ( ) serve as the roller supporting portions ( ). This reduces the number of steps in the manufacture of conveyors, facilitates manufacture of the same, and reduces the manufacturers' cost.
