Abstract
An ink jet recording element comprising an opaque support having thereon an image-receiving layer comprising porous polymeric particles in a polymeric binder, the porous polymeric particles having a median diameter of less than about 1 &mgr;m and having a degree of crosslinking of about 27 mole % or greater.
