Abstract

A variably mountable profile bar ( ′) for use as a column, boom, cross member, strut, or the like for devices ( ) is proposed. The profile bar ( ′) is made of aluminum and, along two opposite side surfaces ( ), has respective anchoring grooves ( ) with a groove cross sectional area A . A hollow channel ( ) for electrical an pneumatic lines is embodied in the longitudinal direction. The hollow channel has a channel cross sectional area A . The material of the profile bar ( ′) has a material cross sectional area A . The profile bar ( ′) is characterized in that at least in sections, the ratio of the groove cross sectional area A and the channel cross sectional area A to the material cross sectional area A is between 0.1 and 0.8. As a result, the profile bar ( ′) is rigid and can be processed in a processing machine, as a result of which narrow tolerances can be achieved.
