Abstract
An ink supply pipe is inserted into a sponge to reach a central or lower portion thereof where ink density higher. Thereby, the ink can be fed stably to a nozzle and to reduce influence of the air introduced through an ink supply tube and an ink supply pipe . Lateral holes for ink discharge are provided on a side wall of the ink supply pipe . Thereby, a sufficient amount of the ink can be supplied from the lateral holes of the supply holes , even when the sponge is crushed upon insertion of the ink supply pipe to narrow the tip orifice of the ink supply pipe
