Abstract
The damper includes a hollow cylindrical member having a groove extending in an axial direction along its inner peripheral surface. A movable member is disposed in the cylindrical member and is movable axially but non-rotationally. A spring is interposed between the movable member and the bottom of the cylindrical member. A rotating member is rotatable within the cylindrical member. A frictionally resisting force generator resists rotation of the rotating member with respect to the cylindrical member and causes the movable member to move away from the rotating member to increase the frictional resisting force.
