Abstract

A method for controlling a set of services in a cluster computer system. The set of services is registered with a service controller in the cluster computer system. The set of services is monitored for a failure of a service within the set of services. In response to a failure of the service, a failure sequence is initiated. An appropriate start sequence is initiated when the failed service can be restarted.
