Abstract

In a battery accommodating device, a lock member is disposed on a lid which is pivotally supported by a case and a protrusion formed on an arm piece of the lock member is to be engaged with an engaging portion of the case and a second protrusion is disposed on the arm piece When a shock is applied to the device or the device drops, the engagement between the protrusion and the engaging portion may be canceled and the lid may be opened. Even in this situation, the protrusion is engaged with the engaging portion and hence the lid rests in a state where the lid is opened by a certain angle.
