Abstract

A quick connector ( ) is to facilitate the connecting of the connecting end of coiled tubing and the connecting end of a tool. For this purpose, the connector comprises two connectable and lockable main parts ( and ) formed to be screwed to the end of coiled tubing and the tool, respectively, when the main parts ( and ) are in separate positions. A first main part ( ) has a freely ending pin element ( ) conically narrowing towards said free end, with elongate, axially directed, circumferentially distributed ridges ( ) with intermediate grooves ( ). A second main part ( ) has a pin-element-accommodating bore ( ) of complementarily conical shape, defined by corresponding ridges ( ) with intermediate grooves ( ). At least one set of elongate ridges ( and/or ) have rounded top portions.
