Abstract
An oil passageway for suppling oil to a torque converter having a pump impeller, a turbine runner and a stator , or removing it therefrom is formed between the shaft member of a stator shaft and the boss portion of its flange member and extends along a transmission input shaft , while a pump impeller boss member has an outer periphery supported facing the pump impeller boss member and situated closer to the stator than that portion of the pump impeller boss member which is supported by the bearing and the oil passageway has its openings and situated closer to the stator than that portion of the pump impeller boss member which is supported by the bearing.
