Abstract
A sheet discharging apparatus and an image forming apparatus having the sheet discharging apparatus in which a sheet can be discharged without causing any spur trace on the surface of the sheet. Therefore, a sheet P having an image formed thereon is discharged to a sheet discharging section by sheet discharging device and rotary members A plurality of projections are respectively formed on outer circumferential portions of the rotary members . The rotary members are rotated by rotation of the sheet discharging device while the sheet P is pressed by the projections . When the rotary members are rotated while pressing the sheet P, orientations of the rotary members are changed by an attitude changing device in accordance with a movement of the sheet P so that rotating directions of the rotary members are made coincide with a discharging direction of the sheet P.
