Abstract
The present invention relates to a gene, fldA, a putative flavodoxin gene and whose expression is associated with mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma of the stomach (MALToma). A G insertion at position 481 of the fldA gene was more frequently observed in strains associated with MALToma than other strains. Therefore, the present invention provides a new method to identify patient with higher risk of developing gastric MALToma.
