Abstract

The piston ring ( ) has an axial extension ( ) that is several times greater than the thickness ( ) of the wall of the ring and is disposed in an outer circumferential groove ( ) that extends over both parts ( ). The invention provides a piston that prevents rumbles and is easy to produce, requiring only a few components.
