Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and an arrangement for assignment of mobile stations (MS MS ) to so called multi-user channels (CH CH ) in a radio communication system. With information on mobile stations' (MS MS and MS MS respectively) power demands (P) from a base station (BS) with which they communicate, effective time spans for transmission of information (T) and/or relevant angular power spectrum (a , a ) from the base station (BS) channels (CH and CH respectively) are allocated in such a manner that the total energy transmitted from each base station (BS) is minimized for transmitting information to its associated mobile stations (MS MS ). As a consequence the total level of interference in the radio communication system to which the base stations (BS) belong will be minimal, which results in a high efficiency for the system.
