Abstract
This invention concerns a power supply voltage generator ( ) for providing a second supply voltage (V ) for an electronic circuitry ( ). A voltage converter ( ) receives a first supply voltage (V ), and converts this into said second supply voltage (V ), such that its output voltage (V ) fluctuates in a control range between a lower limit (V ) and an upper limit (V ). A voltage parameter source circuitry ( ) generates a voltage parameter signal (V ) which is substantially equal to the minimum supply voltage value (V ) of the electronic circuitry ( ), and feeds this voltage parameter signal (V ) to a parameter input ( ) of the converter ( ). The voltage parameter source circuitry ( ) comprises a VCO ( ) incorporated in a PLL. The voltage parameter signal (V ) is derived from a control signal (V ) for the VCO ( ).
