Abstract
A sealing apparatus is provided with an annular elastic member and a reinforcing member to which the elastic member is securely fixed, and is attached to an annular stepped portion of a cylindrical member . The elastic member has a sealing portion coming into contact with the inner surface of the stepped portion of the cylindrical member and the inner periphery surface of a large cylinder portion in an airtight manner.
