The invention regards a method and device for the current feed of a mobile communications device in a device comprising at least one dissipation-type voltage regulator ( ), such as a linear regulator, in which the first voltage value of the regulator's input voltage (Vs, ) is decreased with voltage-decreasing means ( ) to the second voltage value of the input voltage (Vs) compared to the used voltage (Vbat, ), which is smaller than the first input voltage, to form the voltage regulator's ( ) output voltage (Vout, ).
