Abstract
A submersible fuel filter device ( ) of suctional type is connectable to the end of a fuel inlet hose ( ) in a fuel tank and comprises a filter ( ) consisting of porous plastic with a surrounding outer wall ( ) with an upper border ( ), a lid ( ) provided with an outlet opening ( ) that covers the filter ( ) and is connected to the outer wall's upper border. The filter is embodied like a cup-shaped body and has a through flow thickness, or material thickness, which is considerably smaller than the other dimensions of the body, and its porosity is less than 10 &mgr;m.
