Abstract
A runflat pneumatic tire has a tread stiffening member radially inward of the tread . The tire has a deflected section height H under load at 30 psi inflation and a deflected section height H at 0 psi wherein the deflection D are equal to or less than D −D and the net contact area at 0 psi has a perimeter dynamic contact shape of at least U shaped or rectangular.
